Iconic product that defined the industry
These days when you decide to buy a reusable coffee cup you might just tell your friends you are going to get a KeepCup, although you might be purchasing different brand of reusable cup. That is exactly what this brand has done to the industry. It has pioneered and defined the use of reusable cups in the fight to reduce singe-use convenient products.
The brand itself was established by Jamie and Abigail Forsyth in Melbourne in 2007 after running a cafe for nearly a 10years and experiencing the volume of single-use products first-hand. After unsuccessful trial with existing reusable cups, they decided to create their own. Sold first at small underground design market in Melbourne, their products quickly gain the momentum and were supported by the industry that wanted to change for better in regards to the environment.
Today, KeepCups are sold in 65 countries worldwide and have diverted millions of disposable cups from the landfill and or the oceans. And what’s more, it has kickstarted many of its users to endorse the change in behaviour in other aspects of their lives.
