Coalatree started as a self-sustained organic farm build by group of friends in Western Colorado, but evolve in sustainably sourced apparel and multi-use products. They grew in team and moved to Utah to leave the farm behind, yet kept the sustainability as their cornerstone in everything they have build ever since.
Their Trailhead pants has raised 400K in Kickstarter’s campaign and in a ways defined what Coalatree stands for. Extremely durable and multi-functional apparel that is innovative, yet comfortable, all by supporting sustainability along the whole way.

In their own words

The brand only works with bluesign® approved facilities, considering environment impact in each step of the production from design, through manufacturing to packaging, ensuring, minimum harm is done to the environment. Wherever possible, the brand works with recycled materials as well as using surplus yarns to keep production loop as close as possible.
Even the products’ labels are made of recycled paper with post-consumer waste content, keeping trash out of landfills and preserving the forests.
What truly stands out with Coalatree products is the multi-use of their apparel, such as pants and shorts for any sport or occasion, or blankets that can be turned into ponchos or a pillow.
