When brother-sister team of Michelle Kalberer and Jeff Cresswell were looking for an insulated drinking bottles back in the 2000’s they were surprise by the absence of such a solution in the market. So they have embarked on a journey to create their own solution to fight single use plastic and doing it in their very own, family owned way. It is not common to turn down an investors in the field of sustainability and innovation, yet the siblings didn’t want anyone to comprise their vision of the company, or the causes they wanted to support on the way.
And so, in 2004 they have sold their first BPA free stainless steel bottle and 16 years later, the brand is one of the major global players in the field of stainless steel drink and food containers, inspiring many new companies to emerge. Coming in all kinds of shapes and colours the brand is to satisfy any adventurous and conscious minded customer around the world, while still headquartering in Chino, California.

All Klean Kanteen bottles, food containers and straws are made from 18/8 (food grade) stainless steel, completed with lids made of BPA-free polypropylene #5. Brand uses its own Klean Coat™, which is a chip resistant, durable finish that is human and environmentally safe.
With the brand’s Climate Lock™ Vacuum Insulation the insulated bottles can hold your drinks hot for 30hours and cold for 100hours, which we believe is the highest level in the insulation bottle industry. As with other conscious brand, the different lids for different uses of the bottles are all universal, so your bottle can be multi functioning for different activities throughout your days, or nights. And what’s more, the brand offers Strong as Steel warranty for any defects on your products.
Besides, being a B corporation and Climate Neutral certified, the brand supports local community by donating products and water fountains to local different events, donating and supporting many local events and allow their employees of 24h volunteering time per each year.
